I opted for an " Agreement to Sell" on stamp paper and opted for esign as well. They sent me scanned copy of BLANK stamp paper and asked me to sign. When I raised a complaint they promised a refund and asked me to remove negative review. When I removed negative review, they refunded only 10% of the amount. Worst experience and fraud agency !!!! Opted for the very basic service for name change and Gazette publication. They were very prompt in communication and follow up until I have made full payment. But after that there is no proper response for email, not attending the calls or returning back the same. They are now asking me to follow up directly with government employees in Delhi for the Gazette publication. I have lost my money, now I am looking for any other reputed team for Gazette publication. Important Factor to be included in Maharashtra Rent Agreement
While drafting a Rent Agreement Format Maharashtra, you must include following clauses in the agreement to make it legally valid that can protect rights of Landlord and Tenant.
- Personal Details: Clearly mention the personal details of both parties that includes Name, Contact No. Address, etc.
- Tenancy Duration: Duration of which the rent agreement will be in effect.
- Use of Property: The purpose of renting the property â Residential or Commercial â must be mentioned on the Rent Agreement.
- Rent Amount: The agreed rent amount the tenant will pay to landlord for rented property.
- Date & Frequency: The frequency and date of rent payments.
- Security Amount (Deposits): Security amount, its purpose and how it will be adjusted or returned at the end of the tenancy.

Maharashtra Rent Agreement Stamp Duty
It is mandatory to draft the rent agreement on a Stamp paper that attracts stamp duty. In Maharashtra, the Stamp Duty for rent agreement is 500 only.

The Maharashtra Rent Control Act, 1999 is a law implemented by the Maharashtra Government that govern the rental propetied in Maharashtra establises the rules for landlords and tenantes. This law includes the stadard rent, allowing landlord to evict tenents under some specific circumstances, etc.
Rental Agreement Registration in Maharashtra
As per the latest Rent Agreement rule of 2025 by Central Government of India, Now it is mandatory to register all the rent agreement within 2 months of drafting otherwise there is a penalty of Rs. 5000 for not registering the rent agreement.
Although, As per the Indian Registration Act, 1908 and the recent Rent Agreement rule 2025 Registration of a Rent Agreement is not mandatory in all cases and it depends on state-to-state rules. A notarized Rent Agreement is still acceptable and commonly used in many states for residential tenancies.
The Rent Agreement Registration Charges in Maharashtra are:
- If Property is in Municipal Corporation (Urban) area : Rs. 1000
- If Property is in Rural area : Rs. 500
For Rent Agreement Registration, It should be signed by Landlord and Tenant along with two witnesses. Once registration process is done, Sub-Registrar office will verify and approve the agreement and issue the registered rent agreement.
