SUBSTITUTION OF DDA PROPERTY

Substitution of Property is the name given to the process of conversion of Leasehold Property into Freehold in the case of GPA Holder/ Agreement to Sell’s Death.

The GPA Holder/Agreement to Sell can Transfer or Change the Title of the Property by getting his/her property freehold from Delhi Development Authority.

In GPA Holder’s substitution case DDA does not issue any Mutation Letter instead of this, DDA directly Freehold the property to the name of the person who covers under Relinquishment Deed or WILL.

Substitution of Property is required upon the Death of the GPA Holder/Agreement to Sell’s Death to get the Clear Title in the records of Delhi Development Authority and to enjoy the benefits mentioned above.

FEW IMPORTANT POINTS

  • If Power of Attorney and Agreement to Sell are on two different names and if GPA Holder expire and Agreement to sell is alive than he can apply for Freehold of the concerned property by: Submitting the Original Copy of GPA Holder’s Death Certificate. 
  • If Agreement to Sell expire and GPA Holder is alive than GPA Holder can also apply for Freehold of the concerned property by: Furnishing the Relinquishment Deed in the name of GPA Holder.
